Day 219: More Random Thoughts

  1. Twitter asked me to describe my job poorly. That’s an easy one–“I move letters around.”
  2. In case you were wondering why I answered one of Twitter’s questions here, it’s because Twitter isn’t really interested in my answer. It just wants more free content, and I’m not in an obliging mood.
  3. I got an invitation to join AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens. My husband tittered when he saw it in the mail, because it marked me as an old lady. AMAC describes itself as the “conservative alternative to the liberal, anti-Trump AARP,” which made me titter. Trump’s brand of conservatism is so unappealing that even seniors, who lean conservative, aren’t interested in it anymore.
  4. Whoever invented bunk beds obviously didn’t give a thought to the moms who would struggle to change the sheets on the top bunk. Add bunk beds to the list of things that sound cool but in reality are a PITA.
  5. A list is like a bouquet of flowers. You need at least three items to make a list, just as you need at least three flowers to make a bouquet. It’s hard to arrange a bouquet of four to look good, though, and a list of four looks similarly awkward. That’s why this list has five.
