You can go along being perfectly happy with something in your life until you find out that someone else has something better. &#8220;That&#8217;s not fair,&#8221; you say. &#8220;I should have that!&#8221; Whether it&#8217;s your house or your salary, your looks or your child&#8217;s accomplishments, there are\u00a0going to be people out there who have it better than you do. So if you&#8217;re going to play the game of comparisons, you had better remember to consider the people who have <em>less<\/em> than you do,\u00a0too. Chances are, if you live in the US, there are millions (maybe even billions) of people who have cause to envy <em>you<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m only preaching to myself here, folks, not pointing any fingers, but I figure it can&#8217;t hurt to share.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am reminded today that comparisons are dangerous.
