Last October I scheduled my annual physical for this day. I had forgotten all about until I checked my voicemail last night and got the reminder. I thought about keeping the appointment, but I wasn’t in the mood for that kind of stress, so I decided to reschedule instead (for March, in hopes that the pandemic situation will have improved by then).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To give the doctor as much notice as possible, I got up at 8:00 a.m. to make the call. Getting up earlier than usual affected my perception of time. The morning dragged. The afternoon flew by. The evening hours slowed down again, and by 11:00 p.m. it felt like 2:00 a.m. I went to bed early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
