I hate it. I hate it a little less now than I did when the kids where small and the shift would throw our schedule off for weeks, but it&#8217;s still a nuisance. It confuses my sense of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Today one of my blog&#8217;s random quotes caught my eye: &#8220;I don\u2019t need time. What I need is a deadline.&#8221; (Duke Ellington). Ain&#8217;t that the truth? I keep trying to impose deadlines on myself, but they have no power to motivate me. Only a real deadline&#8211;one that is consequential and set by someone else&#8211;is going to have any effect on me. And sometimes not even that. I am like a boulder.
