I read 59 books in 2010. That’s not too bad considering that pregnancy diverted most of my mental energy for the better part of the year. Of course, most of the books were either children’s books or mysteries, which means they were relatively short and simple. So what. I read what I wanted to read and I enjoyed myself.<\/p>\n
Favorite overall<\/strong>: There were so many A’s that it’s hard to choose, but I think my favorite was probably Charlotte’s Web<\/a> by E.B. white.<\/p>\n Favorite reread<\/strong>: Several of the books from 2010 were rereads, but Dragondoom<\/a><\/em> by Dennis L. McKiernan stood out. It’s so good and so bad. It’s a guilty pleasure.<\/p>\n Biggest surprise<\/strong>: I had very low expectations when I started reading The Little Prince<\/a> by Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry, but I ended up loving it. It was my second favorite for the year.<\/p>\n We are well into 2011, but I haven’t done much reading yet. My daughter is nearly three months old now, and she’s starting to settle into a routine that includes a couple of naps.
