Poirot replies, “Do not enrage yourself, Hastings. In verity, I observe that there are times when you almost detest me! Alas, I suffer the penalties of greatness!”<\/p>\n
He follows his reply with a comical sigh, which makes Hastings laugh.<\/p>\n
