The Lost Colony (Artemis Fowl, Book 5)<\/em> by Eoin Colfer The Lost Colony<\/em> is the fifth book in the Artemis Fowl series. The thing I love about this series is its consistency. All of the books are good. None of them are masterpieces, mind you, but they are all fun reading. In this book, Colfer introduces a new tribe of fairyfolk and a rival\/love-interest for Artemis. Don’t try to read this book without having read the previous four books, but don’t wait too long to read the other four. They’re worth the time!<\/p>\n The Tale of Despereaux<\/em> by Kate DiCamillo The Tale of Despereaux<\/em> is cute little tale about a mouse in love with a princess. I read this book because my dear friend gave it to me as a present (thanks!). I thought there were some parts that didn’t quite ring true, but overall I liked it and I recommend it for anyone who likes books about talking mice (and how can anyone not like books about talking mice?).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I did a lot of reading during my break from posting.
