{"id":473,"date":"2008-05-18T19:28:15","date_gmt":"2008-05-18T23:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bluefootedmusings.com\/?p=473"},"modified":"2008-05-18T19:34:56","modified_gmt":"2008-05-18T23:34:56","slug":"strikerious","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bluefootedmusings.com\/?p=473","title":{"rendered":"Strikerious!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Listening to the mourning doves singing in the rain this evening made me think of that famous song by Prince, &#8220;When Doves Cry.&#8221; As I mentally replayed the song in my head, I paused at this line from the lyrics:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>And the most strikerious poses.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hold on. What does &#8220;strikerious&#8221; mean? Surely that&#8217;s not a word?<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t dare assume anything, because you just never know. Case in point: a recent study of the lyrics from Steve Miller&#8217;s &#8220;The Joker&#8221; proved that sometimes what sounds like nonsense really is.
