Here it is, our beautiful new car.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bluefootedmusings.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/new-car.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-732\" title=\"new-car\" src=\"http:\/\/bluefootedmusings.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/new-car-300x212.jpg\" alt=\"new-car\" width=\"300\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bluefootedmusings.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/new-car-300x212.jpg 300w, http:\/\/bluefootedmusings.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/new-car.jpg 819w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a lovely metallic-blue Maxima with all the goodies inside&#8211;heated leather seats, heated steering wheel, dual climate control, moon roof, etc.. It is a used car, a fact which I find myself pointing out to everyone because of the Maxima&#8217;s exorbitant sticker price, but it feels like a new car to me.<\/p>\n<p>We got a great deal on it. I can&#8217;t say we weren&#8217;t naughty, though. For less than what the insurance company gave us, we could have gotten a Civic similar to our old one. That would have been an incredible deal, don&#8217;t you think? But we wanted something bigger and nicer, so we spent a little extra.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, it costs more to insure and to fill up at the pump, but while I&#8217;m driving on very cold days it keeps my butt toasty warm, and that&#8217;s all that matters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I told you about the death of my old car, but not about the adoption of the new one.
