Storm Update

The power’s out, but the generator’s running. A few more hours to go, and then the storm will be past. It’s relatively calm outside now. I hope it lasts.

    Mum said your area got hammered. I hope power has returned and that the limb falling was the only damage.

    All is well. The weather people had it wrong (or I misunderstood them). They said the worst part would be after 6:00 p.m., but that’s when the storm calmed down. The power didn’t come back until late morning, which delayed my morning coffee and made me grumpy, but I don’t think that quite counts as “damage” 😉 We got lucky.
