We’ve known for a few days that a nor’easter was approaching. Today we can sense its imminent arrival. The sky is overcast, the wind is gusting, and there’s a feeling of instability building in the atmosphere. I walked for a mile outside, and it was invigorating. The rain hasn’t begun yet, but I should start filling up water bottles and getting our flashlights ready soon.
Surprisingly there are still a few open houses scheduled for Saturday. I’m almost tempted, even knowing how the weather’s supposed to be, but I told my hubby that I wouldn’t make him leave the house this weekend. I’ll be keeping my eyes on the Lake News, though. Storms don’t necessarily stop people from listing houses. I expect the new listings to slow to a trickle by mid-October, but for now there’s still the hope that the perfect lake house will appear on my Zillow feed at any moment.
